Praise Points

Lord, we thank You for the stability and prosperity Kuwait enjoys as a nation, and we pray that these blessings create space for the Gospel to spread. “He changes times and seasons; he deposes kings and raises up others. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning” (Daniel 2:21).

Father, we are grateful for the presence of churches and gatherings of believers, even if limited, that still shine as a light in a dark place. “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden” (John 8:12).

God, we thank You for the access to Scripture through radio and other creative means, keeping Your Word alive in Kuwait despite restrictions. “So is My Word that goes out from My Mouth: it will not return to Me empty, but will accomplish what I desire” (Isaiah 55:11).

Prayer Points

Almighty God, we pray against the growing persecution of Kuwati Believers. We pray for courage for Your children to endure and remain faithful under pressure. “Remember those in prison as if you were together with them in prison, and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering” (Hebrews 13:3).

Lord Jesus, we cry out against censorship of books, media, and online access that silences the truth. Open new doors for Your Word to reach hearts. “The word of God is not chained” (2 Timothy 2:9).

Heavenly Father, we pray against fear and isolation that weaken Kuwait’s Church. Let Believers be bold and united, finding strength in one another. “Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful” (Hebrews 10:23).

A Call to Salvation

Lord Jesus, raise up a generation of Christians in Kuwait who will boldly confess Christ, even under persecution. “For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain” (Philippians 1:21).

Father, help Kuwati Christians to disciple their children and youth, teaching them to love and follow You no matter the cost. “All your children will be taught by the Lord, and great will be their peace” (Isaiah 54:13).

Holy Spirit, empower the Church in Kuwait to remain united, prayerful, and faithful so that the witness of Jesus does not diminish. “Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace” (Ephesians 4:3)

Kuwait, a small but wealthy Gulf nation in the Arabian Peninsula. Kuwait is known for its oil trade, and its pearls. After securing its independence from the British in 1961, it latched on to its Arab roots and Islamic faith.

Christianity came to Kuwait through early Catholic and Protestant missionaries in the 19th and 20th centuries. Expatriate communities and faithful Christian leaders planted churches in the country. They sought to serve migrant workers and quietly strengthen the body of Christ.

Despite this, Kuwait’s Christian Believers face struggles under heavy restrictions, such as book censorship, media clampdowns, restricted internet access, and increasing persecution for believers who express their faith openly. While many find encouragement through discreet resources like radio Bible programs, the Church in Kuwait remains under threat, weakened by fear, isolation, and the temptation to hide faith entirely.

Praise Points

Independence and Identity (1971) – God allowed Bangladesh to be a sovereign nation: “He changes times and seasons; he deposes kings and raises up others” (Daniel 2:21).

Rich Agricultural Land – The fertile soil of Bengal provides food for millions: “The Lord will indeed give what is good, and our land will yield its harvest” (Psalm 85:12).

Resilience of People – Bangladeshis show a strong survival spirit despite poverty and disasters: “We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair” (2 Corinthians 4:8).

Prayer Points

Religious Intolerance – Rising radicalism threatens minorities: “Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness” (Matthew 5:10).

Corruption and Injustice – Weak governance erodes justice: “Woe to those who make unjust laws” (Isaiah 10:1).

Strengthen fellowship and discipleship – “And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together.” (Hebrews 10:24-25)

Once part of ancient Bengal, Bangladesh has a long history of kingdoms, Mughal influence, and British colonial rule before becoming East Pakistan in 1947 and later gaining independence in 1971. Its culture is rich in poetry, music, art, and devotion to family values, blending Islamic traditions with centuries-old Bengali heritage.

Christianity came to Bengal in the 16th century through Portuguese missionaries. It was later reinforced by Baptist leaders such as William Carey in the late 1700s, who translated the Bible into Bengali and spread education. Despite this, Christians remain a tiny minority. Today, Bangladeshi Christian teenagers face immense struggles, including discrimination, social exclusion, and a lack of opportunity.

Divisions among Christian denominations and a lack of unity within the Church have weakened their influence, leaving young Christian Believers vulnerable to isolation and pressure to abandon their faith. For Christianity to survive in Bangladesh, Believers must return to biblical unity (John 17:21), discipleship (Matthew 28:19-20), and holiness (1 Peter 1:16), becoming light in a society that often overlooks them.
