Kuwait: Recent statistics indicate an 83 percent drop in violations captured by traffic cameras, especially those for speeding and running red lights. In the past month, there were 28,464 violations recorded, a significant decrease from the 168,208 violations noted in the same month last year.
Moreover, there was a 75 percent decline in offenses related to not wearing seat belts and using mobile phones while driving. In the first month after the new law was enacted, 22,574 such violations were logged, down from 89,153 in the month prior, according to data gathered from automated surveillance systems.
