Kuwait: The meteorological department has announced that temperatures are anticipated to rise once more above 50 degrees. On Friday, they recorded a temperature of 51 degrees Celsius in Mitribah, located near Abdaly in northern Kuwait, with temperatures over the past two days ranging between 48 and 50 degrees in most regions.

The department predicts hot weather conditions accompanied by moderate to strong northwesterly winds, which could reach speeds of up to 45 kilometers per hour. These winds are likely to stir up dust, especially in open areas, while residential zones will be somewhat less impacted.

  • Lord, we pray for protection from the severe heat and its dangers, knowing that this heat is intensified by climate change. Grant relief and safeguard health, especially for the elderly, infants, expectant mothers, and those with pre-existing health conditions (The Holy Bible, Psalms 19:6).
  • Lord, we ask for Your mercy over the land as temperatures soar. Calm the winds and reduce the dust, especially in open and vulnerable areas. Provide wisdom and resources to authorities and communities to care for those in need, and let Your peace reign amidst the harsh climate (The Holy Bible, Isaiah 43:2).
