Myanmar is a Southeast Asian country. The 2021 coup in the country by the military junta destabilized the country to the point of widespread poverty and civil war. After years of tolerating the atrocities against them, tribal minorities banded together and made significant progress in their military conquest. The military junta is hunting and evicting Christians indiscriminately. The majority of the Christians in the tribal areas are not participating in the armed conflict. However, there are a few who are. Their participation makes the entire population vulnerable to military action by the junta. Christian pastors, leaders, aid workers, social workers, and evangelists have died in this conflict. The staunch Buddhist country shows signs of opening up to the Gospel of Jesus Christ after the 2021 coup; particularly, the Burmese youth are exploring other faiths. The Kingdom Harvest in Myanmar is ready for gathering. Myanmar ranks 13th in the Open Doors Persecution List of Nations for 2025.
