Myanmar: Intense rainfall has affected areas of Myanmar that were impacted by recent earthquakes, hindering relief efforts and increasing the likelihood of disease outbreaks, as the death toll from the significant quakes on March 28 has reached at least 3,471.
Aid workers in Mandalay, a city severely affected and close to the earthquake’s epicenter, reported that rain and wind struck tent camps overnight and into the morning, drenching survivors and their possessions.
Aid agencies have warned the combination of unseasonable rains and extreme heat could cause outbreaks of disease, including cholera, among quake survivors, who are camping in the open.

Lord, we pray for Your mercy on the people of Myanmar. We pray for the survivors who are camping in the open; may the rains and extreme heat not affect them. Bring healing to them all (The Holy Bible, Psalms 34:7).

Lord, we pray for quick restoration and rebuilding of homes and infrastructure, that the people of Myanmar may find hope and stability soon. Pray that the leaders would act with wisdom and fairness in the ongoing conflict (The Holy Bible, 1 Peter 5:7).
