Myanmar: Two wards on the east bank of the N’Mai River in Chipwe Township, Kachin State, have experienced flooding, displacing hundreds of families who were already affected by conflict. Heavy rainfall in the upper areas of the N’Mai River has caused it to overflow, rising up to 50 feet above its normal level, as reported by a local resident. Floodwaters have swept away three or four sleeping quarters in IDP camps, and several remaining homes have also been lost. Currently, the water level remains four to five feet above its original height.

  • Lord, we pray for Your grace and comfort for those who are suffering, grieving, and struggling to cope with the situation. Ask for God to ensure that aid reaches those in need quickly and effectively (The Holy Bible, Psalms 46:1).
  • Lord, we pray that You bring restoration to the land and for those who have been affected to find hope and healing (The Holy Bible, Psalms 46:3).
