Praise Points  

Lord, we thank You for restoring Israel as a nation and proclaiming the Gospel in the land of the Bible. Isaiah 66:8 – “Can a country be born in a day or a nation be brought forth in a moment? Yet no sooner is Zion in labor than she gives birth to her children.“

Thank You, Father, for preserving the ancient Christian presence in Israel, despite centuries of persecution and displacement. 2 Corinthians 4:9 – “Persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.”

Lord, we praise You for the unity slowly forming among Jewish and Arab Christians who work together for peace and the Gospel. Ephesians 2:14 – “For He Himself is our peace, who has made the two groups one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility.“

Prayer Points

Father, break down walls of prejudice and misunderstanding. Give boldness to believers who face ridicule or legal pressure for their faith. Acts 5:41 – “The apostles left the Sanhedrin, rejoicing because they had been counted worthy of suffering disgrace for the Name.”

Lord, shield churches, pastors, and youth from hostility and violence. Let Your peace overcome hatred and vengeance. Psalm 121:7–8 – “The Lord will keep you from all harm—He will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.”

God, help Christians to remain steadfast in Israel. May economic challenges not drive them away but deepen their faith where You have planted them. Jeremiah 29:7 – “Seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you… Pray to the Lord for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.”

A Call to Salvation

Holy Spirit, ignite a new passion in Israel’s Christian teenagers, who want to know Christ personally and share Him fearlessly in their schools and communities. Joel 2:28 – “I will pour out My Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy.“

Lord, heal divisions between denominations and ethnic groups. Let the Church in Israel be one body, reflecting Your truth in love. 1 Corinthians 1:10 – “That all of you agree with one another so that there may be no divisions among you and that you may be perfectly united in mind and thought.“

Father, strengthen Christian homes to teach Your Word daily, so that faith may pass from generation to generation. Deuteronomy 6:6–7 – “These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road.“

Israel, often called the Holy Land, holds an extraordinary place in history as the birthplace of Judaism and Christianity. Israeli culture today blends ancient traditions with contemporary innovation, valuing family, education, and national identity. Yet the spiritual climate remains complex, where Jewish, Muslim, and Christian faiths coexist under tension. Christianity first took root in Israel through the ministry of Jesus Christ, whose apostles, including Peter, James, and John, established the earliest church in Jerusalem. Later, missionaries and early Church Fathers such as Jerome, who translated the Bible into Latin in Bethlehem, and Origen, who taught in Caesarea, shaped Christian theology on this soil.

Today, Israel’s Christian teenagers face significant struggles. In a society that strongly identifies with Judaism, Christian youth often experience social rejection, mockery, and legal discrimination when expressing their faith. Those from Arab Christian backgrounds face hostility from religious extremists. In contrast, others see their families emigrate due to economic hardship and lack of opportunity. Inter-church divisions between Orthodox, Catholic, Protestant, and Messianic congregations weaken the Christian witness.

The Church in Israel is under threat from external pressures and internal disunity and declining engagement among youth. To prevent the diminishing of Christianity, believers in Israel must return to the biblical call of unity (John 17:21), bold witness (Acts 4:31), and forgiveness (Ephesians 4:32). They must raise their children to value the Word, love one another across denominations, and stand unashamed of Christ in the land where He once walked.

Lord, we thank You for bringing peace to Tajikistan after years of civil war. Thank You for preserving the land and opening doors for hope and recovery. Psalm 85:8–9 – “I will listen to what God the Lord says; He promises peace to His people, His faithful servants—but let them not turn to folly.”

Thank You, Father, for the small but steadfast Christian community serving You faithfully despite fear and persecution. Romans 11:5 – “So too, at the present time there is a remnant chosen by grace.”

God, we thank You for Believers from different denominations who have chosen to work together in love to serve the poor and share Your Word. Colossians 3:14 – “And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.”

Prayer Points

Lord, protect Christians from extremists and authorities who seek to silence the Church. Let justice and truth prevail in this land. Psalm 37:28 – “For the Lord loves the just and will not forsake His faithful ones.”

Father, have mercy on young Christian women facing forced marriages or abduction. Deliver them, and let them find freedom and refuge in You. Isaiah 49:25 – “I will contend with those who contend with you, and your children I will save.”

God, give believers courage to remain in Tajikistan as Your witnesses instead of fleeing. Strengthen their faith to rebuild Your Church. 2 Timothy 1:8 – “Do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord… but join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God.”

Lord, help parents to teach their children faith at home and to live as examples of love, forgiveness, and perseverance. Joshua 24:15 – “As for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”

Father, pour out Your Spirit on all believers in Tajikistan. Unite Orthodox and Protestant Christians in love and empower them to shine together. Zechariah 4:6 – “Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord Almighty.”

Tajikistan, a mountainous landlocked country in Central Asia, traces its history back to ancient Persian civilizations. It became part of mighty empires such as the Samanids, Mongols, and Russians. It endured a brutal civil war that left deep scars on its people since independence. The Tajik culture is rich in Persian poetry, traditional music, and family-centered values. Still, it is also profoundly influenced by Islam, which dominates nearly every aspect of social and political life.

Christianity first came to the region through Nestorian missionaries around the 7th century and later through Russian Orthodox priests and Protestant missionaries during the 19th and 20th centuries. These early Christian pioneers helped establish small churches and spread the Gospel along the Silk Road routes.

Today, Tajikistan’s Christian teenagers face increasing struggles in a society where being Christian—especially for those from Muslim backgrounds—can mean social rejection, family expulsion, and pressure to reconvert. Young Christian girls often face forced marriages or bride kidnappings as tools to suppress conversions. The Church is under threat due to legal restrictions on worship, harassment by authorities, hostility from religious extremists, and inter-church division between Orthodox and Protestant communities.

Many Christian Believers have emigrated for safety and better opportunities, leading to a dwindling Christian presence. To prevent Christianity from diminishing, Tajik Christian Believers must strengthen their biblical unity (Ephesians 4:3), persevere in faith under persecution (Hebrews 10:36), and prioritize discipleship within families (Deuteronomy 6:6–7). The Church in Tajikistan must rise with forgiveness, courage, and love, refusing to let fear silence the witness of Christ.
