A report by the Israel National Council for the Child shows the devastating effects of the war on children and teens in Israel. Since the war started, 56 children and teens have died, 389 have lost a parent, and 23,212 have been physically or mentally harmed. The violence has also led to more family-related issues, including murder, attempted murder, and sexual assault. Suicide attempts among children, especially younger ones, have increased. Despite these challenges, government budget cuts have affected vital programs that support children and at-risk youth. This raises concerns about the long-term impact of the war on children’s well-being and future.
Abba Father, we bring all the little souls in Israel into Your Presence. Please heal their hearts and minds, which have been corrupted by the war and violence around them. Let their focus be on You, the Author and Finisher of our faith and hope. Fill them with Your divine Presence, love, and peace (The Holy Bible, Hebrews 12:1-2).
Pray for the authorities to implement more effective measures to provide for and protect the children in Israel, who are despaired by the war and its consequences. Pray for the authorities and citizens to provide for the physical and psychological needs of the children in their homes and neighborhoods (The Holy Bible, Matthew 25:40).
