This is the Time to Reach Indian Muslims!

Most people associate India’s Ganges River with Hindus. There is a Hindu majority along this massive river, which Hindus consider holy. Yet, millions of unreached Muslims live near the river.

The 2020s have been a decade of persecution for both Muslims and Christians. Hinduism is increasingly being used for political purposes, resulting in Indian leaders seeking to exclude other religions who are not Hindu. Islam and Christianity are branded “Abrahamic religions,” which some Hindus believe first came to the Subcontinent as part of invading forces. These invading forces first came from Central Asian Muslims and later from Christian Europeans. Some would love to see Muslims and Christians expelled from India altogether.

In this time of religious intolerance, there is a golden opportunity for Christians to reach out to their Muslim neighbors. Indeed, some Christian Believers are preparing to reach Muslims for Christ. Christians are learning the local languages and searching for “persons of peace” who might welcome them to speak to the Muslim community. Meanwhile, they are training church planting leaders. These Christians will soon be ready to win and disciple Muslims to follow the only Savior.

Let us pray fervently for:

  • Church planting leaders to have God’s wisdom regarding planting in the areas where the harvest is ripe (The Bible, Deuteronomy 4:6).
  • Christ’s followers to be sensitive to the promptings of the Holy Spirit to share the Gospel message (The Bible, John 14:26).
  • The Lord speaks to Muslims about His love for them, and they understand that Jesus Christ gave His life to pay for their sins. (The Bible, Acts 10:22).
