The Timothy Initiative (TTI) Breaking New Ground in Burkina Faso
Burkina Faso persecution ranking: 32
Do you ever wonder if you are making a difference in God’s Kingdom? Kojo, a church planting trainer from West Africa, does not have to wonder. This past spring, Kojo and others provided church planting training for 25 people who want to see God’s Kingdom extended and people blessed. They work with The Timothy Initiative (TTI), which offers a three-step, two-year process.
Step one is to lead a group of disciple-makers through TTI’s introductory materials called “Disciples Making Disciples.” That takes four months, and they learn how to evangelize, make disciples, and plant churches. For the next 12-15 months they share their faith, raise up more believers and begin the process of planting churches. From there, church planting trainers mentor them in leadership, and how to make sure the church is sustainable. A sustainable church will plant more churches. The congregation should financially support leadership rather than depending on outsiders. The church planting trainer is always on the lookout for others who can train others to literally multiply their work.
This past spring, Kojo joyfully announced that out of 25 who received this training, 15 will graduate next month, August. They are ready to extend the Kingdom to new places in Burkina Faso!
