In Brunei, Christians face significant persecution due to the country’s strict Islamic laws. The government enforces Sharia law, which limits religious freedom and criminalizes evangelism. Conversion from Islam is illegal, and those who leave the faith face social ostracism and legal repercussions. Churches operate under tight restrictions, with no new places of worship allowed. Religious materials, including Bibles, are difficult to obtain. Public celebrations of Christmas are banned, and Christians cannot share their faith openly. Many believers practice their religion in secret to avoid harassment or punishment. Despite these challenges, the Christian community remains resilient in their faith.

  • Pray for God’s Comfort upon His Children who experience hate and discrimination. Pray for our beloved Brothers and Sisters in Christ in Brunei that they may be strengthened in their faith and stand their spiritual ground in the face of persecution (The Bible, Isaiah 40:31).
  • Let the strongholds of hate be demolished in the Name of Jesus Christ. Let the strongmen of these strongholds be banished from Brunei in the Mighty Name of our Lord Jesus (The Bible, 2 Corinthians 10:4).
