Coffee and Christ Come Together in Thailand

The Apostle Paul warns his readers in 2 Corinthians 9 that whoever sows sparingly will reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will reap generously. This is a great exhortation to spread the seed of the gospel far and wide.

Fortunately, even “scattered” seeds can also bring about a harvest. A team of Christian workers in Thailand is learning this despite their “scattered” efforts. They have found Buddhist Thai people who are interested in the ways of Christ. They must follow through with discipleship and train these new believers to continue spreading the seed even further. There is always the challenge of finding more people who will listen to the gospel and respond to it.

One way is to establish a coffee house. This is the kind of environment where people can hear the Word in a relaxed, non-threatening atmosphere. This team of Christian workers needs sound advice from those who are familiar with the coffee industry so they can make sure their business remains solvent.

Let us pray fervently for:

  • The Lord to raise up people who can help them make a profit. May their business be an excellent example of how to treat employees in ways that honor Christ (The Bible, Colossians 4:1).
  • New Christian Believers become fervent in their faith and lovingly share Christ in an understanding way (The Bible, Acts 8:38-39).
  • This ministry brings about good fruit and social transformation in Buddhist Thailand (The Bible, James 1:22).
