Myanmar Breakthrough

The Church in Myanmar has faced an uphill battle. Adoniram Judson, one of the first American missionaries to an Asian country, was imprisoned when he tried to take the gospel to the Burmese people over 200 years ago. The situation has been difficult ever since. There have been several tribal groups like the Karens accepting the Gospel, and today Myanmar is about eight percent, Christian. The Gospel has penetrated many tribal peoples, but not the Burmese majority.

With action and prayer, this can change in 2022.

One missionary team is seeking to reach Burmese people in neighboring Thailand, where there is a large refugee population. There is no hostile government to harass them.

In Myanmar, the Church can take Christ to the Burmese, but it will be difficult. There is much hostility and distrust between the Burmese Buddhists and the tribal groups that have embraced Jesus Christ. With prayer, God can do miracles this year!

Let us pray fervently for:

For Christian Believers in Myanmar to understand God’s big picture, embrace it, and take action. (The Bible, Matthew 28:18-20)

For Christian Believers to embrace non-traditional means of taking the gospel to others in the workplace. (The Bible, Acts 18:1-4)

For the Church to find those who are open to the Gospel. (The Bible, Acts 18:9-11)
