The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) 2025 Economic Survey of Türkiye points to a deepening crisis of corruption and poor governance under President Erdogan, putting the economic stability of the country and confidence in investors at risk. It denounces the absence of an independent anti-corruption agency, secret public procurement procedures, and political influence over regulatory institutions. It also refers to a compromised judiciary, growing public skepticism, and the growing exploitation of government institutions for political and personal interests. The OECD demands immediate reforms, such as an autonomous anti-corruption agency, enhanced transparency, and greater protection for whistleblowers and journalists. Unless drastic changes are made, Türkiye is at risk of further economic instability and eroding institutional integrity, with no effective political opposition to challenge the entrenched system.

Pray for reforms and breakthroughs in Türkiye’s Governance. Pray for the truth, transparency, and justice to uproot corruption at every level of government in the country (The Holy Bible, Deuteronomy 16:19).

Pray for the legal system in Türkiye to act with fairness and independence. Pray for justice and peace to prevail in the country (The Holy Bible, Proverbs 29:26).
