Thailand’s COVID-19 infections have peaked for 2025, with cases expected to decline steadily, said Public Health Minister Somsak Thepsuthin. Despite improvement, he urged continued caution, especially for high-risk groups like the elderly and those with underlying health conditions. Over 65,000 new COVID-19 cases were reported in one week, mostly among people aged 20-39. The rainy season may prolong virus circulation, but public hospitals are prepared with sufficient resources. Somsak advised people to take precautions in crowded areas to protect vulnerable family members. Influenza cases are also declining, with children aged 5-9 most affected and older adults at the highest risk of death. To reduce flu-related fatalities, Thailand launched a nationwide campaign offering 6 million free flu vaccine doses in 2025, up from 4.5 million in 2024. The ministry remains vigilant in managing both diseases throughout the year.
Pray for the LORD’s protection upon all the people in Thailand from the resurgence of COVID-19 and Influenza cases. Pray for the LORD’s healing power upon all the infected victims (The Holy Bible, Matthew 8:7).
Pray for wise counsel for the authorities to implement more precautionary measures to combat the spread of the two deadly diseases (The Holy Bible, Exodus 18:19).
