There have been recent tensions between Afghanistan and Pakistan, which have seen military confrontations and increased complaints about the mistreatment of Afghan nationals. A few days back, Pakistan’s army killed 16 heavily armed fighters who were trying to cross over from Afghanistan after blaming the Afghan Taliban for failing to contain the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). Meanwhile, Pakistan’s government has begun a crackdown on Afghan nationals such as Mohammad Laal Khan and Benazir Raofi, who have spent decades in Pakistan, threatening to deport them even though they are deeply rooted in the country. These events highlight strained relations, with accusations and suspicions on both sides of sheltering militants.
Pray for peace between Afghanistan and Pakistan. Pray for the authorities of both countries to take necessary actions to end the military clashes between them and the ill-treatment of Afghan nationals in Pakistan (The Holy Bible, Proverbs 24:6).
Pray against all the support systems of militants. Pray for the accountability of the supporters of extremism. Pray for divine protection for all the people living on the border between Afghanistan and Pakistan (The Holy Bible, Deuteronomy 3:22).
