Brunei’s Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah, one of the world’s wealthiest men and longest-reigning monarchs, was discharged from a Malaysian hospital after five days of treatment for fatigue. The 78-year-old sultan, attending the ASEAN summit in Kuala Lumpur, was hospitalized at the National Heart Institute but is now resting at a hotel before returning home. Brunei’s government shared photos showing him with family members. Sultan Hassanal has ruled Brunei for over 57 years, leading it to independence in 1984. He also serves as prime minister, finance minister, defense minister, and foreign minister. Known for his lavish lifestyle, he owns a massive car collection and resides in the world’s largest private palace. Strict Islamic criminal laws, including punishments such as amputations and stoning, marked his reign. Despite health concerns, his office says he remains in good health.
Sovereign LORD, break the chains of religious oppression in Brunei. Let Your Kingdom come, and Your Will be done in the country, in the Mighty Name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Amen (The Holy Bible, Matthew 6:10).
Praise GOD for answering our prayers for the health of the monarch of Brunei. Pray for the Holy Spirit to open the eyes and minds of the people of Brunei, including the royal families, to be receptive to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the Savior (The Holy Bible, Matthew 24:14).
Pray for the LORD to raise more prayer warriors to break through the strongholds of Islam upon the people of Brunei (The Holy Bible, 1 Timothy 2:1-2)
