Gaza: Newborns and unborn babies are severely affected by the difficult circumstances. According to the UN, due to severe food shortages, one in ten newborns is either underweight or born prematurely. There has also been a rise in miscarriages, stillbirths, and birth defects. Poor nutrition is creating new dangers during pregnancy, and childbirth has become significantly more dangerous as well. In some cases, Israeli military operations and displacement have forced women to give birth in tents or makeshift shelters without any medical assistance.
- Lord, we pray for all newborns and unborn babies facing severe challenges due to difficult circumstances. We pray for their health, protection, and well-being. May You provide for their needs and restore their strength (The Holy Bible, Psalm 139:13).
- Lord, we pray for all expecting mothers in the war-torn Gaza who are experiencing fear and uncertainty due to poor conditions and lack of medical assistance. May You provide them with comfort, safety, and support during their pregnancies and childbirth (The Holy Bible, Psalm 34:17).
