Kalimow Mohamed Nur had no choice but to take a risky journey to save his twin sons who were weak from hunger and sickness. He borrowed 130$ which would take him months to earn a repayment and traveled 300 km to Baidoa for free medical care. His sons were treated for severe malnutrition at the MSF-supported Bay Regional Hospital. Kalimows struggle highlights the harsh reality in Somalia, where poverty and lack of local healthcare make life-saving treatment out of reach for many families.
- Father, we pray for provision and access to healthcare services in Somalia so that all families can access the care they need without financial burden (The Holy Bible, Philippians 4:19).
- Father, we pray for strength and healing of children suffering from malnutrition and give a source for the healthcare workers treating them (The Holy Bible, Mathew 11:28).
