Germany has confirmed its support for United Nations resolutions regarding Western Sahara. In response to a letter from the Western Sahara Association, the German foreign ministry emphasized its commitment to international legitimacy and cooperation with the UN for a fair and lasting solution. Germany also supported Staffan de Mistura, the UN secretary general envoy to Western Sahara. The government acknowledged the European Court of Justice’s recent ruling on EU Morocco fishing agreements and highlighted its ongoing support for Sahrawi refugee camps and humanitarian efforts.
