In Saudi Arabia, political prisoners continue to face harsh repression despite the recent release of some detainees. Dozens of individuals remain imprisoned solely for peacefully exercising their rights to free expression, association, and belief. High-profile figures like cleric Salman al-Odah, lawyer Waleed Abu al-Khair, and aid worker Abdulrahman al-Sadhan are among those still held. Many political prisoners have been sentenced under vague anti-terrorism or cybercrime laws, often based on harmless or years-old social media activity. Detainees commonly experience forced disappearances, prolonged solitary confinement, denial of legal representation, and convictions based on coerced confessions. Even those released, such as Salma al-Shehab and Mohammed al-Qahtani, continue to face restrictions like travel bans and surveillance. These cases highlight Saudi Arabia’s ongoing suppression of dissent and lack of judicial fairness.

Pray for the LORD to expose false charges and bring transparency and justice in the trials of political prisoners in Saudi Arabia. Pray for justice and truth to prevail in Saudi’s judiciary system (The Holy Bible, Isaiah 1:17).

Pray for the immediate and unconditional release of the unjustly imprisoned victims in Saudi Arabia. Pray for divine protection upon them and their families, who are facing surveillance and retaliation (The Holy Bible, Psalm 40:17).
