South Sudan is going through a difficult time, with political and humanitarian struggles weighing heavily on the country. Tensions have flared between President Salva Kiir and First Vice President Riek Machar, especially after Machar was placed under house arrest, sparking fears that the country might slip back into civil war. Their rivalry is deeply connected to ethnic divides, with Kiir representing the Dinka group and Machar leading the Nuer. The arrest has drawn international concern, urging both leaders to find common ground and engage in dialogue to avoid further conflict. The international community is calling on South Sudan’s leaders to choose peace and stability to prevent the situation from escalating further.

Father GOD, we pray for unity among the leaders of South Sudan. We pray that they may lay down their disagreements and enmities and work together for the common good of their nation and their people (The Holy Bible, Psalm 133:1).

Almighty GOD, we cancel all the plans of the evil-doers against the peace of the nation. LORD, we pray for Your divine protection upon all the civilians in the country (The Holy Bible, Job 5:12).
