Libya: Walid Al-Arafi, the head of the media office for the Criminal Investigation Department, has reported the finding of a significant amount of narcotic pills hidden in desert trenches and wells.
He announced that the joint security room operating between the Amssed and Bir al-Ashhab regions, which includes the Amssed Criminal Investigation Department, successfully confiscated 145,274 hallucinogenic pills that were concealed in remote areas for the sake of hiding and storage.
Al-Arafi clarified that they achieved this seizure through thorough investigations and intelligence gathered from confidential sources and individuals apprehended in earlier security operations. He also mentioned the use of the excavated trenches for smuggling illegal goods and facilitating unauthorized immigration.
