Between March 24 and 30, 2025, Morocco saw 2,169 traffic accidents in urban areas, resulting in 19 deaths and 3,002 injuries, including 105 serious cases. The increase in traffic was attributed to the Eid Al Fitr holiday, as many traveled to visit family. The General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) identified key causes of accidents, including driver negligence, excessive speed, failure to yield, and pedestrian inattention. Authorities recorded 45,160 violations, issued 8,706 official reports, and collected over MAD 7.9 million in fines. In total, 4,998 vehicles were impounded, and 432 were removed from the road. The DGSN emphasized ongoing efforts to improve road safety through stricter enforcement and public awareness campaigns.
Pray for the authorities to implement more stringent laws to curb traffic violations and improve road safety in Morocco. Pray for effective awareness campaigns that promote safety and driving responsibility to avoid negligence and accidents (The Holy Bible, Proverbs 8:33).
Pray for divine protection from road accidents for all the people in Morocco. Pray for the drivers to adhere to the road safety measures to avoid such accidents (The Holy Bible, Psalm 121:8).
