The Maldives has welcomed 500000 tourists so far in 2025 a 4.6% increase from last year. an average of 7100 tourists arrive daily, with China leading as the top source market at 60000 visitors, followed by the UK and Russia. The government aims to reach 2.2 million visitors by the end of the year, despite a small dip in February compare to last year.
This will boost the Maldives economy on the world stage and also increases the locals job opportunities. Some of the investors around the world are likely to invest in Maldives after this breakthrough in the tourism industry.
