Tension between Eritrea and Ethiopia are growing, and many fear another war could happen. Eritrea ordered a nationwide military mobilization in February. A war would worsen the humanitarian crisis in the Horn of Africa, a region already struggling with instability and suffering.
Abba Father, we lift up Eritrea and Ethiopia before You, asking for Your divine intervention to stop war and bring lasting peace between these nations. Soften the hearts of their leaders to choose reconciliation over conflict. May the peace of God rule over these nations. In Jesus’ name. Amen ( The Bible, Matthew 5:9).
Abba Father, we pray for the innocent people caught in the tensions between these nations. Lord, keep them safe from violence, hunger, and displacement. Let Your grace and mercy be upon them. In Jesus’ name, Amen (The Bible, Psalm 34:18).
