Mongolia: Mongolian Prime Minister Luvsannamsrain Oyun-Erdene has stepped down following a failed vote of confidence, which came after weeks of protests against corruption. He made his resignation known after Parliament did not support him in the confidence vote held the day before. Public anger has been rising over the extravagant lifestyle of the prime minister’s family, resulting in ongoing demonstrations in the capital, Ulaanbaatar.

  • Lord, we pray for Mongolia during this time of political uncertainty. We ask for Your guidance and wisdom to be upon the new leaders as they emerge. May they prioritize integrity and transparency, serving the people with justice and accountability (The Holy Bible, Proverbs 11:14).
  • Lord, we pray specially for the citizens of Mongolia who are expressing their anger and frustration against corruption. We pray for a spirit of healing and reconciliation to prevail in the nation. May the calls for justice lead to meaningful change and a brighter future for Mongolia (The Holy Bible, Micah 6:8).
