Generative artificial intelligence (AI) is gaining significant attention, and there is an increasing interest in harnessing its advantages. However, are there potential risks involved?
On March 16, prominent Israeli historian Yuval Noah Harari and Toshikazu Yamaguchi, president of The Yomiuri Shimbun Holdings, talked about the role of newspapers in the age of AI and strategies to mitigate its associated risks.
Harari was in Japan to celebrate the Japanese release of his new book, “Nexus: A Brief History of Information Networks from the Stone Age to AI,” which serves as a cautionary tale regarding the dangers of AI.
- Lord, we ask You for Your divine protection from all the potential harm that may come from quantum technology and AI. We pray that these technologies will not deceive, harm, or control Your children (The Holy Bible, 1 Corinthians 10:31).
- Lord, please give us the spirit of discernment as You know the intentions and outcomes of all these fast-paced technologies. Help us trust in You (The Holy Bible, Proverbs 3:5).
