Eritrea’s 34th Independence Day on 24th May 2025 was commemorated with the theme “Our Cohesion: Our Armour” as an affirmation of the country’s cohesion and strength. The celebrations lasted for a week, which included colorful parades, concerts, art shows, and cultural performances across the country. In the capital city of Asmara, roads were decorated with flags, and citizens took part in numerous activities, such as a 21-gun salute and fireworks. Eri-TV televised documentaries of the sacrifices endured in the 30-year independence fight. Eritrean communities around the world, ranging from North America to Europe, hosted parties, picnics, and cultural festivals to celebrate the day. Celebrations this year not only celebrated Eritrea’s hard-fought independence but were also focused on highlighting the significance of national unity and the strength of the people as a whole.

Praise GOD for the 34th Independence Day of Eritrea. Pray for the LORD’s blessing upon the land and people of the country. (The Holy Bible, Numbers 6:24-26).

Pray for the Holy Spirit to open the hearts and minds of the people of Eritrea to be receptive to the Gospel. Pray for the Eritreans to experience real freedom in Christ Jesus, the Savior (The Holy Bible, John 8:36).
