In 2024, Morocco’s unemployment rate increased to 13.3%, up from 13% in 2023, affecting approximately 1.63 million people. The agricultural sector was particularly impacted, losing 137,000 jobs due to prolonged drought conditions. Youth unemployment remains a significant concern, with rates at 36.7% for individuals aged 15-24 and 19.6% among graduates. In response, the government plans to invest $1.4 billion in 2025 to create jobs, focusing on small and medium enterprises and youth employment. The services sector generated the most jobs, followed by industry and construction. Despite these efforts, unemployment rates remain high, particularly among young people and graduates.

Almighty GOD, we pray for long-term solutions to Morocco’s unemployment challenges. We pray for lasting economic stability in the nation (The Holy Bible, Psalm 72:12).

LORD, we pray for the success of Morocco’s investment in job creation. We pray that the youth of Morocco, especially those struggling with unemployment, find opportunities for meaningful work, education, and growth (The Holy Bible, Psalm 118:25).
