BANGLADESH: Farmers in Bangladesh, especially in the Sylhet region, are facing rising financial pressure due to increased diesel prices. The cost hike has significantly raised expenses for operating combine harvesters and other machinery essential for harvesting Boro paddy and maize. Harvesting costs per acre have sharply increased, in some cases nearly doubling, while crop prices remain low. Many farmers are struggling to secure machinery at affordable rates, making it difficult to recover their investment. This situation is creating uncertainty and financial strain for thousands of farmers who depend on mechanized farming for their livelihoods.

Heavenly Father, we lift up the farmers in Bangladesh. Provide for their needs and help them recover their costs. Bless their harvests so that their labor is not in vain. Amen (The Holy Bible, Psalm 128:2).

Lord, we pray for fair market prices and better opportunities for farmers. Help them receive just returns for their crops and sustain their livelihoods. Amen (The Holy Bible, Proverbs 21:5).
