The UN reproductive and sexual health agency UNFPA official Fabrizia Falcione shared a painful picture of life for women and girls in Sudan during the ongoing conflict. Many women said they feel unsafe everywhere, both inside and outside displacement camps, especially at night, when even basic tasks like going to the toilet become dangerous. Years of fighting have forced families to move again and again, and many women have seen or experienced violence. Even the journey to safety is risky, with threats like harassment, hunger, and lack of clean water. Despite all this, women are not only asking for aid; they want jobs, education for their children, and access to healthcare so they can rebuild their lives. Safe spaces help them feel supported and speak up, but a lack of funding means many women are still left without the help, safety, and protection they urgently need.
Father GOD, as You have promised, please cover the women and girls in Sudan with Your feathers from all evil and evil doers. Let them find refuge, hope, and healing under Your wings (The Holy Bible, Psalm 91:4).
Jehovah Jireh, we pray for all the women and girls in Sudan to have easy access to healthy food, shelter, education, proper healthcare services, and other needs and rights (The Holy Bible, Luke 1:37).
GOD of restoration, we pray for Your divine peace to descend upon Sudan. We pray for the restoration of all the lives shattered by war in the country (The Holy Bible, Exodus 14:14).
