The first Mongolian church to survive started around 1990. Today, Mongolian Christian believers are trying to reach the lost in Ulaanbaatar, the capital city. Christian Believers are running a training center they hope will have a lasting impact far beyond Mongolia’s borders.
Mongolian Christians have an enormous mission field to reach, not only in Mongolia, but for hundreds of miles beyond their country. Mongolia is a Central Asian country that was the center of the Mongolian Empire in the 1200s. This empire had the largest land mass of any in human history. Nearby unreached countries include Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Pakistan, and Iran. All of these 10-40 Window Countries desperately need pioneer church planting work. Mongolian Christian Believers can be instrumental in making this happen.
The Mongolian Church faces challenges before it can be effective in outreach. Christians must overcome pride and a lack of dedication to Jesus Christ as King of kings. For that reason, we must pray for spiritual maturity before they are ready to be sent out.
Let us pray fervently for:
- Purity in the Mongolian Church; to exchange pride for tender submission to Jesus (The Bible, 2 Corinthians 6:6).
- Pray for Mongolian Christians to look to the Holy Spirit for direction (The Bible, Acts 13:4).
- Pray for good fruit from the training center (The Bible, James 3:17).
