Over the weekend, the military of the West African country reported that three Chinese citizens went missing from Ghanaian waters and are thought to have been abducted following an incident on March 27, when seven armed individuals boarded their ship and discharged warning shots. The Chinese foreign ministry announced on Monday that all crew members on a fishing vessel registered in Ghana, which experienced a “suspected pirate attack,” are now safe.
A spokesperson for the ministry, during a routine press conference, when questioned about the incident. “Once we were informed about the situation, the Chinese Embassy in Ghana swiftly initiated its emergency response protocol and has been in frequent contact with the Ghanaian authorities,”.
- Father, we ask in Your name for the protection and safety of the crew members from all the perils of the seas. Give them the strength and courage to fight all hardships and face life with Your help (The Holy Bible, Psalms 46:1).
- Father, we come to You asking for help and guidance as we see numerous attacks by pirates in the seas. Protect the crew from violence, keep them safe from weapons of hate, and restore them to stay in peace and tranquility (The Holy Bible, 2 Timothy 4:18).
