Sudan’s military leader, Gen Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, visited the presidential palace in Khartoum after the army recaptured the capital from the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF). This marks the first time Burhan has returned since the war began nearly two years ago. The army swiftly secured key areas, including the airport and bridges over the Nile, as RSF fighters retreated southward. However, the war continues, with the RSF still controlling Darfur. The conflict has caused massive civilian casualties, widespread displacement, and famine conditions.
Almighty GOD, the LORD of hosts, command an end to the wagging war in Sudan. Speak Your Life and Peace upon all the people of the nation (The Holy Bible, Psalm 33:9).
Heavenly Father, we pray for Your divine protection and provision for all the people suffering hunger and uncertainty in Sudan. We pray for Your divine comfort and courage for the people who have lost their family members and materials in the name of war (The Holy Bible, Jeremiah 17:7).
Lord Holy Spirit, touch the hearts and minds of the warring parties so that they lift their eyes to Heaven and humble themselves in the Presence of the Most High GOD, who can put down those who walk in pride. Grant them wise counsel to end the war and to work according to the Will of the Almighty GOD (The Holy Bible, Daniel 4:34-35).
