West Bank: Palestinian sources reported that Israeli settlers set fire to a wedding hall and vandalized walls with graffiti in the central West Bank village of Bidya overnight.

Video footage captured the flames engulfing the building, while images displayed graffiti on the town’s walls, with messages such as “Revenge,” “Death to Arabs,” and “Fight the enemy, not the friend.”

There were no reports of injuries from this apparent act of arson and vandalism. The West Bank police and the Shin Bet security agency have launched an investigation into the incident. This event comes amid a series of violent attacks by settlers in the West Bank, which locals claim are intended to intimidate Palestinians into abandoning their land. Such acts are seldom prosecuted.

  • Lord, we pray for the Israeli settlers who engage in violent attacks. Help them resist hatred, stand in love and open to be channels of peace (The Holy Bible, Genesis 12:7).
  • Lord, we pray for the village of Bidya in the West Bank, may Your peace overrule all the hatred in the people. May they know Your love (The Holy Bible, Genesis 13:15).
