Oman
Sultanate of Oman has made progress in various sectors recognized by many countries. The Gulf Leaders Circle organized a summit for business magnets from Oman and Saudi Arabia. Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef, the Minister of Commerce, hailed the wise leadership of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik in steering Oman’s economic growth and social development. Oman ranks as the fourth most attractive country for foreign direct investment. Harvard Business School research has named Oman the best prospect for spearheading the transition towards ecologically responsible steelmaking. Pray for the affluent Omanis to turn their attention to God to shun evil living and submit to Him for a proper lifestyle (The Bible, Romans 6:23).

Oman is not a regular on the Open Doors Persecution Index. However, the oil-rich country ranks at forty-seven this year. There is an increase in the monitoring of Christians in the country and scrutiny of meetings by Christian organizations. Even expats who convert from Islam to Christianity face persecution and discrimination in Oman. Only expats who enter the country as Christians do not face significant persecution. The unreached population is more than 75%. Evangelism is illegal. Hence, the only outreach programs available are through the radio or social media platforms. Ten thousand Omanis travel to pursue their higher education abroad. Preferred study destinations include the United States, Australia, the United Kingdom, Canada, and New Zealand. They present an opportunity for sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
