Militias backed by Iran, remaining Islamic State terrorists, and foreign military operating from Turkey and Iran are the dangerous groups constantly causing hardships for Christian Believers in Iraq. Christians living in villages were forced to flee as their homes were destroyed. The Assyrian and Chaldean churches and other denominational churches are affected by brutal violence. Due to the terrific and horrific persecution, Many Christians in central and southern Iraq are afraid to openly exhibit their faith in Christ. Especially the Islamic converts undergo very severe persecution for their faith in Christ. Moreover the representation of religious minorities is denied by the Kurdish Regional Government.
Abba Father, we lift up our persecuted brothers and sisters in Iraq. Grant them courage and protection as they face oppression. Let Your presence be their refuge and strength. In Jesus’ name. Amen (The Bible, Psalm 46:1).
Lord Jesus, You are the Prince of Peace. We pray for justice for Iraqi Christians and all religious minorities suffering oppression. Let Your righteousness shine, and may leaders act with wisdom and fairness. In Jesus name. Amen (The Bible, Amos 5:24).
