In Bangladesh’s coastal areas, millions lack safe drinking water because of saltwater contamination. Women must walk long distances daily to find water. The Chittagong Hill Tracts also face serious water shortages. Deforestation, poor farming practices, and climate change worsen the crisis. Hilly areas lack basic water infrastructure like tube wells and rainwater collection. Transporting water across mountainous regions is very difficult. Women in the hills also carry heavy pitchers daily, yet their suffering goes unnoticed. This is more than a water problem—it’s a health and human rights emergency. Long-term, sustainable solutions are urgently needed for both the coast and the hills.

Abba Father, we pray You provide clean, safe water for every community suffering in Bangladesh. Meet their daily needs and bless them with hope and abundance. In Jesus’ name. Amen (The Bible, Philippians 4:19).

Lord, raise voices to advocate for the women and communities in the hills and coasts. Let leaders respond with urgency and justice (The Bible, Isaiah 1:17).
