Hamas is reviewing a new Israeli ceasefire proposal that includes a 45-day truce, during which 10 Israeli hostages would be exchanged for hundreds of Palestinian prisoners and detainees. The deal also calls for Hamas to provide information on remaining hostages and return the bodies of deceased Israelis in exchange for Palestinian remains. However, the plan includes the disarmament of Gaza and no guarantee of a permanent ceasefire, conditions Hamas has rejected. The proposal would pause military operations, allow aid into Gaza, and see Israeli troops temporarily withdraw from parts of the territory. Negotiations are ongoing with Egyptian and Qatari mediation. Hamas warns against a “fragmented” deal while pressure mounts on Israeli leadership to secure the hostages’ release and reach an agreement.

Pray for a breakthrough in the ongoing negotiations that leads to lasting peace and stability in the Middle East region. Pray for divine wisdom, unity, and compassion for the leaders and mediators involved in the ceasefire talks to find a peaceful solution (The Holy Bible, Job 12:13).

Pray for the safe and swift return of all the Israeli hostages from captivity. Pray for the LORD’s strength and comfort for the families of hostages (The Holy Bible, Psalm 121:1-2).
