Cote D’Ivoire Breakthrough
Last month we prayed for a woman who was using the marketplace in Ghana as a way to reach people for Christ. This month we have another effort that is happening in Cote d’Ivoire, a country just to the west of Ghana. In both cases, people see how Christ followers operate in real life, and they understand that God expects honesty from His children.
There were recently 30 pastors and business owners from the village of Ira who were given training in marketplace ministry in the capital city of Abidjan. They learned that God wants them not only to serve Christ at church on Sundays but also in the marketplace throughout the week. At the end of May, church members were taught more about how to do their work for the glory of God. Later business owners will take another course on how to do their work more productively and efficiently.
In sum, these African business owners should be able to run their businesses better so that they can earn a profit and serve their community. They will also know how to do it in such a way that glorifies the Lord. Now is the time when they need to apply what they learned. Pray for them!
