Recent U.S. airstrikes around Yemen’s port of Ra’s Isa have reportedly caused significant civilian casualties and injuries, including at least five humanitarian workers. The attacks also damaged key port infrastructure, raising concerns over potential oil spills into the Red Sea and the resulting environmental impact. These developments come amid ongoing missile and drone attacks by Houthi forces targeting Israel and commercial vessels in the region. The strikes and retaliations risk escalating tensions across the broader Middle East. International law, especially protections for civilians and humanitarian infrastructure, is being tested. Calls have been made for all sides to exercise maximum restraint, respect international humanitarian obligations, and immediately release all arbitrarily detained UN and aid personnel held by Houthi forces.
Pray for divine protection for all the civilians and humanitarian workers in Yemen. Pray for divine provision of healthcare, food, shelter, and other basic needs of the Yemeni people. Pray for the immediate and unconditional release of the arbitrarily detained humanitarian workers in the country (The Holy Bible, Psalm 82:4).
Pray for an end to the Red Sea conflict and the airstrikes targeting Yemen’s infrastructure. Pray for the international authorities to take immediate action to resolve the maritime conflicts and to safeguard the security and stability of the trade routes in the Red Sea. (The Holy Bible, Matthew 5:9).
