South Korea has formally called for the release of missionary Choi Chun-gil, detained in North Korea since 2014 and sentenced to life with forced labor. He is one of six South Korean nationals held by the regime, including three missionaries and three defectors. North Korea has not provided any information about their conditions or whereabouts. Rare footage recently surfaced showing Christians arrested and forced to confess under gunpoint, highlighting the regime’s harsh stance on faith. Despite North Korea’s claims at the UN that religious freedom is protected, its constitution is contradicted by actions that criminalize Christianity. An estimated 50,000 to 70,000 Christians are imprisoned in brutal camps. North Korea remains the most dangerous place to be a Christian, yet underground believers continue to Worship in secret, supported by the global Church’s prayers and solidarity.

Pray for the release of missionary Choi Chun-gil and other Christians imprisoned for their faith in North Korea. Pray for all the North Korean believers to experience continuously the divine Presence of the LORD and HIS Love, Comfort, and Strength in mighty ways (The Holy Bible, Hebrews 13:3).

Pray for a spiritual breakthrough in North Korea again, as it happened in the year 1907. Revive the nation of North Korea once again, O Lord, Holy Spirit of GOD (The Holy Bible, Psalm 85:6).
