Algeria: In the context of regional and global water shortages exacerbated by climate change, Algeria is making notable advancements in securing its water supply. This progress is mainly due to important projects started by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, which aim to use unusual water sources like seawater desalination and groundwater, as well as connecting dams and moving large amounts of water.
Thanks to the President’s visionary approach and careful implementation, Algeria has achieved a considerable success in providing a reliable drinking water supply. As a result, access to drinking water networks has reached 98% across the country, positioning Algeria among the top nations in this regard.
