CHINA: A record number of individuals are preparing to take China’s famously tough national civil service exam this weekend, showing that more Chinese workers want jobs in the public sector instead of the private one. About 3.7 million people have signed up for the tests, which will be the first since the government raised the age limit for some roles. The age limit for general candidates went up from 35 to 38, and for those with postgraduate degrees, it increased from 40 to 43.
These millions of applicants will compete for 38,100 civil service positions nationwide, which means there are about 97 people vying for each job.
- Pray that every individual preparing for the civil service exam will receive divine clarity and direction (The Holy Bible, Proverbs 3:5).
- Ask that God grant favor, strength, and provision to those who genuinely seek to serve their society, opening doors that align with His purpose (The Holy Bible, Psalm 75:6).
