How does a team get a church planting movement started in a Muslim port city? Sometimes, they need three separate teams for three different tasks!
In one Egyptian port city, there is a “Bridge Unit” that contacts locals. They want to find persons of peace, meaning those whom the Holy Spirit has already given a hunger for truth. The “Anchor Unit” is working towards starting businesses and applying for residency so they can stay in the area long-term. The “Harbor Unit” is discipling young Christian Believers with a vision to start new discipleship groups. They want these new believers to have a solid foundation for their faith, specifically Christ and His Word. The Harbor Unit needs God’s wisdom on how to teach biblical obedience, share the Gospel, and make disciples.
Let us pray fervently for:
Each of the three teams to find those who are spiritually hungry and be protected from those who oppose the gospel (The Bible, 2 Thessalonians 3:1-2).
Pray for the “Anchor Unit” to have favor with local officials so they can stay and do the Lord’s work (The Bible, Nehemiah 2:1-3).
Pray that many discipleship groups have solid roots in Jesus Christ and not get swayed by false doctrines (The Bible, 1 Timothy 1:3-5).
