If a church plants a daughter church, the daughter church is called 2nd generation. If the daughter church plants a third church, that is 3rd generation. When that one plants another church, it’s 4th generation. At that point, church planting experts agree that the church planting movement is unstoppable.
There is good news coming out of refugee camps in Chad. They have gone beyond this and reached the 5th generation! Most of the people they are reaching are either Muslims or animists from neighboring Sudan, where it seems the fighting never stops. Some have fled west to Chad, which is relatively peaceful. They settle in various refugee camps to escape violence. People are suffering from trauma and violence. We need to pray for more to find salvation in Jesus Christ, but also for them to find help in this traumatic time.
Let us pray fervently for:
- Thank God for the reports of an unstoppable movement to Christ and for miraculous healings (The Bible, Acts 5:14-16).
- Pray for peace in Sudan, South Sudan, and Chad (The Bible, 1 Samuel 7:14).
- Pray for workers to be instrumental in healing wounds from the trauma of living in a war zone (The Bible, Matthew 11:28-30).
