Iraq and Saudi Arabia have signed a 17-point memorandum of understanding to strengthen cooperation in combating drug trafficking and illegal chemical precursor movement. The agreement, announced by Iraq’s Ministry of Health, emphasizes shared intelligence, technical collaboration, early warning systems, prevention strategies, and improved border surveillance.

Iraq hailed the pact as a milestone in regional cooperation, reaffirming its commitment to working closely with neighbors to address escalating narcotics threats and bolster collective security and public health.

Abba Father, shield Iraq, Saudi Arabia, and the region from the destruction caused by drugs and give strength to those battling this crisis. Lord, bless the unity between Iraq and Saudi Arabia, and may their cooperation inspire peace and progress across the Middle East. In Jesus’ name. Amen (The Holy Bible, Psalm 107:20).

Merciful God, bring healing and restoration to individuals and families harmed by drug abuse (The Holy Bible, 2 Thessalonians 3:3).
