ALGERIA: Algeria has a new prime minister. Ghrieb, who is 51 years old and trained as a chemist, became the Minister of Industry and Pharmaceutical Production in November 2024. He earned his doctorate in physical chemistry of materials from Badji Mokhtar University in Annaba and has spent many years working in Algeria’s industrial field. The Parliament is set to meet again in September, where they will vote on several draft laws about political parties and associations that have been delayed for a long time.
- Lord, we pray that Prime Minister Ghrieb, as he leads the Ministry of Industry and Pharmaceutical Production, will be granted wisdom and discernment. May he use his expertise in chemistry and experience in the industrial field to make decisions that benefit the nation and its people (The Holy Bible, John 17:21).
- Lord, we pray for the upcoming parliamentary session in September, that the members will come together in unity to discuss and vote on the delayed draft laws regarding political parties and associations. May their decisions promote stability and positive change in Algeria (The Holy Bible, Ephesians 4:3).
