The World Bank released a report on the economic trends in Guinea-Bissau last week. The report states that despite a challenging economic environment, the country has marginally grown it’s GDP from 4.4% last year to 4.8% in 2025. This was achieved despite not tapping on the country’s rare mineral wealth and a harsh climate which adversely affected the cashew nut yield.
Although the slight growth is a positive for the country, it still continues to be one of the poorest countries in the world. Even in West Africa, the country’s per capita is the lowest.
Praise God for the economic development although slender (The Bible, 1 Chronicles 16:25).
Pray for God’s continued blessing upon this land in it’s pursuit of self-reliance (The Bible, Genesis 26:3).
Pray for infrastructure improvements without Chinese debt traps (The Bible, Exodus 31:3).
Pray for the transformation of the Guinea-Bissau government by divine intervention (The Bible, Psalm 103:13).
